Novel compounds I wherein Ar signifies phenyl or naphthyl which may be substituted by one or more similar or different radicals which are halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylmercapto CF 3 or NO 2 , Y is O or S, R1 is a radical which is halogen, alkyi, alkoxy or alkylmercapto (if there are two or three R1 radicals they may be the same or different) and the radical R1, or one of the radicals R1 may be N0 2 , and n is 0, 1, 2 or 3 are obtained by the interaction of a compound II (R is an aliphatic, araliphatic or aryl radical and X is the anion of a strong inorganic acid) and a phenol or thiophenol, Ar.Y.H. Pharmaceutical preparations particularly suited as antimycotics contain I as active ingredient; administration is by parehteral injection, locally or by other standard methods.
