Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,240,738. Crimped filament yarns. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 17 Sept., 1969 [11 Oct., 1968], No. 45780/69. Headings D1F and D1W. A process for making up synthetic continuous filaments in a tension-equalised state comprises stretching the filamentary material, knitting it, immediately after stretching, into a tubular form, allowing the tubular fabric a rest period, and subsequently unravelling the tubular fabric for further use of the filamentary material. The tubular fabric may be wound up during the rest period and subsequently unravelled or the tubular fabric may be immediately unravelled after the rest period without the intermediate wind up. Apparatus for carrying out one embodiment of the process comprises at least one stretching station with stretching rollers, a circular knitting head with a pair of take-off rollers and means for unravelling tubular structures with a winding means for the resulting filaments, and a drive for the knitting head connected to a drive for the stretching rollers, the pair of take-off rollers and the filament winding means.
