Improvements in Means for Supporting Miners' Safety Lamps

Supporting. - A support for a miner's satety lamp oomprises bracket having a spike A for insertion into a prop or bar, a curved part C for bearing against the prop or bar, and a second curved part D for enabling the bracket to be carried on the lamp hook or ring when not in use. The lamp is supported by its small ring on a detachable arm B screwed into a hole B in the bracket, so that its position may be varied. The arm, however, may be dispensed with, and the hook or handle of the lamp inserted in the hole B . The hole formed by the curved part D may be used for sighting purposes when straightening roadways, and a plumb-line may be hung from the part D.
