Zusammenfassung: | 1,236,397. Windscreen cleaning systems. TRICO-FOLBERTH Ltd. 30 Aug., 1968 [31 Aug., 1967 (2)], Nos. 39955/67 and 39956/67. Heading A4F. In a windscreen cleaning system comprising a washer unit, means is provided for cyclically operating a valve 72, Fig. 8, in a conduit through which cleaning liquid is fed by a pump 21 from a reservoir 204 to a spray nozzle 201 so that the liquid is sprayed intermittently. The valve 72 may be actuated by a cam 121 driven by a windscreen wiper motor 16. When a rod 11a is actuated to move diaphragm 12 of a dashpot device 10 to the left switches 18, 19 are reversed to energize the wiper motor 16 and a motor 20 for driving the washer pump 21. On release of the rod 11a it returns at a rate controlled by the dashpot device 10 and after a few seconds the switch 19 is opened to stop the washer motor and after a further few seconds the switch 18 connects the terminals B, R of the wiper motor 16 together via the control switch 17, which if set to its OFF position causes the motor 16 to stop with the wipers in their parked position. Other embodiments include a rotary electric switch driven by the washer motor and arranged, as described in Specification 1,236,398, to switch the washer motor off after it has been running for a predetermined period. |
