Direct air-pressure apparatus, non-automatic.- In fire-extinguishers of the kind comprising a casing containing carbon tetrachloride &c. provided with a pump a for compressing air, the outlet from the pump is provided with means for preventing access of liquid. The casing b has mounted therein an air pump a provided with a non- return valve c leading to a tube c which rises to the upper part of the vessel and is there provided with a perforated cylinder e which prevents the entrance of liquid. The outlet comprises a tube f leading from near the bottom of the casing to the upper part thereof, where it is directed outwards and provided with a nozzle g. |
