Zusammenfassung: | 1,225,210. Vinyl chloride. E. V. SONIN, A. L. ENGLINE, I. F. PIMENOV, M.G. AVETIAN, O. V. POLOZOV, A. S. GOLEV, J. A. TREGER, and V. N. ANTIPOV. 1 Aug., 1969, No. 38687/69. Heading C2C. Vinyl chloride is prepared by dehydrochlorination of 1,2-dichloroethane in a reactor at at least 250‹ C. in the presence of an initiator comprising oxygen, a halogen or a compound which liberates a halogen or a free radical under the reaction conditions, the initiator being introduced through at least two inlets spaced along the reactor. Initiators specified are oxygen, chlorine, nitrosyl chloride and hexachloroethane. The use of two and three inlets is described. The reactor may be heated by flue gases. A pressure of 2-30 atmospheres is preferred, but atmospheric pressure may be used in combination with a compressor or gas blower at the reactor outlet. Three rectification columns may be used to purify the exit gas. |
