Lubricant is forced from the barrel by piston 14 through duct 15 to an annular passage 108 and thence via duct 109 through a valve Fig. 5 (not shown) to duct 101. The quantity of lubricant dispensed at each shot is adjusted by rotation of member 12 which alters the length of stroke of the piston before the relief passage 13 engages the helical slit 11.
