The upper cylindrical portion 3 of a shield case 1 for an I.F. transformer has at least four slits in its circumference, with some of the resulting arc segments, 5, being threaded and others, 6, not being threaded. A magnetic core 2 is screwed into the portion 3, the frictional resistance of unthreaded segments, 6, requiring a constant torque for this core movement. The lower part 7 of the shield case is rectangular, and contains the coil, which surrounds the core, on a base-plate with terminal pins 8. In Fig. 2 (not shown) case is wholly cylindrical. |
