Zusammenfassung: | 1,214,845. Production of cyclohexanone. INSTITUT FRANCAIS DU PETROLE DES CARBURANTS ET LUBRIFIANTS. 27 Nov., 1967 [28 Nov., 1966], No. 53879/67. Heading C2C. [Also in Division B1] Cyclic alcohols are dehydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst which comprises (a) 2- 50% ZnO, (b) 0À5-30% of an alkaline earth metal oxide, (c) 0À2-5% of a basic compound of an alkali metal in the form of a free base, the weight of the latter being measured as M 2 O where M is the alkali metal, the remaining part of the catalyst being essentially SiO 2 in an agglomerated form. Typical reaction conditions are 350-450‹ C. L.H.S.V. 0À5-8, pressure of feed and hydrogen 0À1-10 kg./cm.2. Examples describe the dehydrogenation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone. |
