Zusammenfassung: | 1,212,297. Alkenyl-aromatic dicarboxylic acid ether. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 18 June, 1969 [16 July, 1968], No. 30815/69. Heading C2C. The invention comprises compounds of the formula wherein R1 and R3 each represents a hydrogen atom or an ethylenically unsaturated aliphatic C 3-6 radical with the proviso that R1 and R3 do not simultaneously represent hydrogen atoms, R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl C 1-6 radical, R4 represent the group or the group -C 6 H 4 COOR2, where R1, R2 and R3 are as defined above and R5 represents a bivalent aliphatic C 1-12 radical or a radical of the formula -Ar-, -ArOAr-, ArSO 2 Ar-, -ArCOAr- or -ArOArSO 2 ArOAr-, where Ar represents a bivalent aromatic radical, which may be substituted. They are prepared by reacting a dialkali metal salt or mono-alkali metal salt of the corresponding ester of the appropriate 3- or 4-hydrobenzoic acid with a dihalogen compound of the formula Hal.R 5 Hal, or with an o- or p-halogenebenzoic acid or alkyl C 1-6 ester thereof, in an inert organic solvent at a temperature of from 50‹ to 160‹ C. |
