Zusammenfassung: | 1,205,303. Valves. CAMCO Inc. 29 July, 1968, No. 36179/68. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] Liquid is removed from a gas well by a valvetubing assembly comprising a tube 18 and a valve 32 which is loaded to the closed position by the gas in the well, acting on a spindle 44 disposed in a chamber 40, connecting with gas in a well casing 12 through a port 60, and opened by liquid pressure in the tube 18 and a spring 42. When the pressure of the liquid and spring exceeds that of the gas, the valve 32 is lifted and the liquid flows past a seat 30, to a port 48, and through a by-pass passage 54 and gas lift valves 24 to an outlet 26. The valve is lowered into the tube 18 by a wire line tool, and has an expander portion 66, which moves with respect to the valve body 28, so that when a shoulder 72 abuts a stop shoulder in the tube 20, continued movement of the portion 66 forces dogs 70 into contact with recesses in the tube 18, to lock the valve in position. The gas pressure acting in the chamber 40 may be augmented by liquid in a tube 80. |
