[Also in Division F2] In the making of an insert for installation in a bore in a workpiece and comprising an internally and externally threaded hollow cylindrical body having at least one longitudinal drive groove of substantially square or rectangular cross-section extending across a plurality of turns of the internal thread and engageable by a tool for driving the insert into the workpiece, the drive groove or grooves is or are formed by a broaching tool having a cutting tooth or cutting teeth of the desired configuration, the leading end of the tool not being provided with a tooth or teeth but serving to guide the tool into the insert.
