Apparatus 'for sensing bed wetting comprises a humidity sensor with a pair 'of metal foil electrodes 14, 16 on a flexible backing of insulating material which may be placed below the 'sheet in a cot. Moisture in the sheet bridges the electrodes and) the base of a transistor 19 becomes negatively charged and the transistor conducts thus energizing an audio oscillator 22 to sound an alarm.
