Zusammenfassung: | 1,191,625. Splitting machines. BRITISH UNITED SHOE MACHINERY CO. Ltd. 11 Aug., 1967 [12 Aug., 1966], No. 36104/66. Heading B4B. [Also in Division F2] A ring roller for band knife splitting machines consists of a series of rings 15 mounted side by side around a central rubber core 27 which serves to centralize the rings through radial pins 21, 23, 25 engaging each of the rings. The core 27 is fitted in an axial bore in the drive spindle 5, which carries a drive pinion 7, the pins passing through radial bores in the spindle 5. The inner ends of the centring pins engage the core member 27, and the rounded outer ends of pins 21, 23 engage the inner surfaces of each of the rings, while the outer ends of pins 25 are headed to engage recesses 34 in the rings to provide a positive drive from the spindle 5. The outer surfaces of the rings may be shot blasted. |
