Zusammenfassung: | 1,181,880. Coated surfaces. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 26 May, 1967 [31 May, 1966; 17 Dec., 1966], No. 24588/67. Heading B2K. [Also in Division C3] Surfaces (e.g. of glass or steel) are coated by applying to them a solution in an organic solvent of a new self-crosslinking resin obtained by reacting an alkyd with an alphaalkoxyalkyl isocyanate [see Division C3] and thereafter stoving. Application may be by brush-coating, spraying, dipping or roll-coating. Specified organic solvent are various esters, ketones, alcohols, ethers and aromatic hydrocarbons. The coating compositions may also contain (a) a pigment or filler e.g. one or more of titanium dioxide, phthalocyanine blue, heavy spar, talcum (5Á particle size), kieselguhr, X-ray amorphous silicon dioxide or a zinc sulphide-barium sulphate mixture (h) an aminoplast e.g. a butylated melamineformaldehyde condensate (c) calcium naphthenate or (d) a silicone oil. |
