Zusammenfassung: | 1,177,636. Polyether polyols. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 20 Feb., 1967 [28 Feb., 1966], No. 8717/66. Heading C2C. [Also in Division C3] Polyether polyol mixtures having hydroxyl values in the range 200-800 mg KOH/g. are prepared by reacting an alkylene oxide with a mixture of a primary or secondary amine containing at least two active hydrogen atoms in the molecule and a simple polyhydric alcohol, which is liquid at 120‹ C. Typical alkylene oxides are ethylene, propylene, butylene and styrene oxides, or mixtures thereof. The amine must contain at least one primary or two secondary amino groups, the nitrogen atoms of which are directly attached to an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic residue. Aromatic amines are preferred and of particular use are the crude condensation products of aniline and formaldehyde and commercially available mixtures of aromatic amines. The polyhydric alcohols include ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, trimethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, butane diols and triols, glycerol, 1,1,1-trimethylol propane, hexanetriols, sorbitol and iditol or mixtures of suitable alcohols. |
