Zusammenfassung: | 1,167,902. Liquefied gas storage containers. BRITISH OXYGEN CO. Ltd. 5 May, 1967 [19 May, 1966], No. 22257/66. Heading F4P. In a Dewar vessel for storing liquefied gas, e.g. helium, and having at least one radiation shield 5, 6 in the vacuum space between the inner and outer containers 1, 3 thermally connected to the neck 2 of the inner container 1 whereby the shield is cooled by gas within said neck, the vacuum space between the outer container 3 and the adjacent shield 6 is filled with heat insulation material whilst the space between the inner container and the adjacent shield 5 is void. The space between the shields 5, 6 is also filled with heat insulation material, e.g., wrapped foil as described in Specification 890,995 or powder as described in Specification 892,477. The shields are of polished self-supporting sheets of copper, silver or aluminium further supported by spider members 7 as described in Specification 969,821. |
