Zusammenfassung: | 1,166,656. Impregnated sponge material. M. BOUCARD. 10 Oct., 1966 [15 Oct., 1965; 28 Dec., 1965; 5 May, 1966; 12 July, 1966], No. 45088/66. Heading B2E. A method of producing an expansion joint or packing to be fitted between blocks or other masses of concrete, comprises compressing a block or strip of sponge material e.g. of sponge rubber or open-celled foam of polyesters, polyurethanes or polyethers, releasing the pressure to allow an impregnating material e.g. bitumen or an emulsion of butyl rubber admixed with a petroleum resin to enter the external pores of at least a portion of the block or strip, and draining and drying the impregnated block or strip under ambient temperature and pressure conditions. |
