Zusammenfassung: | 1,157,686. Electrolytic refining of copper. MEDODOBIVEN KOMBINAT "GEORGI DAMIANOV". July 13, 1966, No.31533/66. Heading C7B. In electrolytic refining of copper by cathodic deposition, the electrolyte is maintained at 66 to 80‹C. and a periodically reversed current is employed in which the ratio of the charge passed in the negative to positive directions is in the range of 10 to 40:1. Preferably the current density is in the range 2 to 7 amps/sq. dm. A typical bath comprises copper sulphate and free sulphuric acid with a total chloride ion content of 40 to 150mg/l and 0À01 to 2g/1 of colloidal additive such as bone glue. |
