Inhalers. - A device for administering nitrous oxide comprises an outer cylinder B, having two gas masks M, M communicating therewith, and an inner closed cylinder A of such dimensions as to form a gas-tight joint and to revolve in the outer cylinder. Secured to the end of the inner cylinder is a gas supply tube F, and formed in the side thereof is an opening G arranged so that, on revolving the inner cylinder, the supply of gas can be communicated to either gas mask or be cut off. In operation, the larger gas mask M covering the mouth and nose is first employed and, when anµsthesia is complete, the smaller one M, which is adapted to cover the nose only, is used. |
