Zusammenfassung: | 1,153,644. Electrical plug pins. FLAGGRAND Ltd. 21 Feb., 1968 [28 Feb., 1967], No. 9458/67. Headings B3A and B3K. An electrical plug pin is produced by cutting a length from an extruded electrically conductive strip whose cross-section corresponds to that of the proposed plug pin, and deforming one end of the strip to form one or more integral, lateral projections. One preferred method uses a circular saw assembly 2 wherein a large diameter saw 3 makes a severing cut and a small diameter saw 4 a partial cut to leave one or more uncut portions 6, the two saws being mounted coaxially together, the portions 6 are then bent to form the lateral projections. Alternatively, the projection may be formed by punching one end of the length in a die by means of a punch along the longitudinal direction causing a part of the metal to flow outwards, or else one end of the length may be twisted so that the edges of the twist portion project over the sides of the length. |
