A hose clip comprises a strip 1 of sheet metal .bent to form a normally open loop for encircling the hose, one end portion of the clip being formed with a tongue 3 extending radially outwards and having a lateral projection 4 and the other end portion of the clip having a socket-like portion 8 also extending radially outwards for receiving the tongue, the socket-like portion being formed with means 9 (an aperture as shown) for making fastening engagement with the tongue. As shown the socket-like portion is U-shaped. The clip can be formed with one or more transverse corrugations 11 intermediate its ends to permit the clip a limited amount of expansion in order that it can adapt itself to hoses of different diameter.
