Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,135,919. Securing reels on shafts. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 23 June, 1967 [24 June, 1966], No. 29007/67. Heading F2U. [Also in Division G2] An adaptor 20, detachably mountable on a spindle 6 which is adapted to drivingly support a reel having a centre opening of a first size, has an outer periphery adapted to drivingly support a reel having a centre opening of a second size, larger than the first size, and a detent spring 27 secured in the adaptor has an end projection 30 releasably engageable with an annular groove 14 in the spindle 6 to hold the adaptor against a locating shoulder 16 of the spindle. A loop 32 of the spring 27 projects from the end 26 of the adaptor to allow release of the detent projection. A key 18 on the spindle drivingly engages a first size reel or one of equispaced axial projections 34, 36 of the adaptor, the projection 34 forms a key to drivingly engage a second size reel. Reel retaining spring detents 8, 38 are provided in the spindle and adaptor respectively. The spindle and the adaptor bore may be of non-circular, e.g. square, cross-section. The adaptor allows, e.g. reels for Standard 8 and Super 8 cine film to be used with a spindle of a combination projector or universal editor.
