Polyvinylchloride and/or vinyl chloride/vinylidene chloride copolymer contains as an antistatic agent a compound RCOOC 2 H 4 N(C 2 H 5 ) 3 SO 4 C 2 H 5 in which R is a saturated or olefinically unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of 11 to 17 carbons and may be the residue from lauric acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, palmitoleic acid, oleic acid, or palm kernel fatty acid. There may also be present a plasticizer, e.g. dioctyl phthalate and/or tritolyl phosphate and a stabilizer, e.g. lead stearate. The compositions are used for conveyer belts or footwear.
