An injection moulding composition comprises a polyoxymethylene and from 0À0001 to 0À5% by weight, based on the polyoxymethylene, of a silicate. The polyoxymethylene preferably has an intrinsic viscosity of from 0À5 to 1À2 measured in a 0À5% solution in butyrolactone at 150‹ C. and includes copolymers of trioxane with, e.g. dithiolane, oxthiolane, dioxolane or 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic nitrogen compounds, as well as their terminably esterified or etherified derivatives while the silicate may be in powder form with particles below 10 microns in diameter. The specified silicate is talcum. The composition may be prepared by distributing the silicate in the polyoxymethylene, melting this mixture and recovering it from the melt in granulated form.
