Zusammenfassung: | 1,130,077. Photographic silver halide materials and processing. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORP. Nov.7, 1966 [Nov. 8, 1965], No. 49791/66. Heading G2C. An exposed photographic silver halide material is developed in the presence of a compound of the formula: - wherein R is hydrogen, alkyl of 1-4 carbons or a cation such as sodium, potassium, ammonium or an amine cation and Ri is hydrogen or alkyl of 1-4 carbons, and wherein the benzene ring of the above formula may be further substituted by inert substituents. Compounds specified are 3-carboxy- or -carboethoxy-4-hydroxy-7- trifluoromethyl-quinoline, 2-carboxy- or - carboethoxy-3-methyl-4-hydroxy-7-trifluoromethylquinoline and 2-carboxy- or -carboethoxy-3- methyl-4-hydroxy-5-trifluoromethylquinoline. The compound may be present in the silver halide material in the emulsion or an undercoat, intermediate coat or overcoat layer e.g. an anti-abrasion layer, or in the developer or a predevelopment treatment bath. |
