Zusammenfassung: | 1,129,563. Phosphorus-containing pyrimidine derivatives. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 15 March, 1967 [31 March, 1966 (2)], Nos. 14268/66 and 14269/66. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises compounds of the formula and salts thereof, e.g. hydrochlorides, wherein R 1 and R 2 are H or substituted hydrocarbon groups, or acyl groups, or together with the N atom form a heterocyclic group e.g. pyrrolidino, morpholino or 1-methyl-4-piperazino, X is O or S, R 4 and R 5 are H or substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon groups, Y is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group joined directly to the P atom, or two such hydrocarbon groups or hydrogen atoms attached to an N atom which is joined to the P atom, and Z is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon - group joined directly to the P atom or through an O or S atom thereto, or represents two such hydrocarbon groups or hydrogen atoms attached to a nitrogen atom which is joined to the P atom. Preferred hydrocarbon groups for R 1 , R 2 , Y and Z are alkyl and aryl and for R 4 and R 5 alkyl, alkenyl and aryl. The compounds may be obtained by reacting, if desired in an inert diluent or solvent, a compound of the formula wherein R 8 is H or an alkali metal with a compound of the formula Hal-P(X)(Y)(Z) wherein Hal is halogen e.g. Cl or Br. When R 8 is H the reaction may be carried out in an acid binding agent. The products have pesticidal properties against plant and animal pests and may be used for veterinary purposes, e.g. in the form of dips, sprays or dusting powders, ointments or creams, tablets, capsules, boluses, suspensions, emulsions or solutions and may contain conventional excipients, or in the form of sterile solutions, suspensions or emulsions suitable for parenteral administration. The compositions may additionally contain known anthelmintics and/or bactericides and may include stabilizers e.g. epichlorhydrin. |
