Mixing device

A device for continuously mixing and conveying a plurality of fluids comprises a tube 10 with curved sheet-like elements 20-30 extending in series longitudinally within the tube. Each element throughout its length contacts the tube wall dividing the tube into two separate channels and is in point contact 33 with its adjacent element, the contacting edges of adjacent elements being inclined to each other. The elements may be curved in one direction, or be curved alternately or randomly in opposite directions. Before entering the tube 10 the fluids may be fed into a common header 44 or via valve controlled lines into a plenum chamber. The elements may have perforations 50 and the discharge nozzle 46 may be fitted with mesh screens 48.
