Zusammenfassung: | 1120933 Electrically heated ceilings ARMSTRONG CORK CO 28 July 1965 32294/65 Headings F4W and W45G An acoustic ceiling tile adapted for electrical radiant heating and sound absorption comprises a flat radiant electric heating element 2, attached to a backing 1 of acoustic material with perforations 6 in the element communicating with sound absorbing interstices in the backing. Air metering holes may be drilled completely through the tile to supply conditioned air to the room. The acoustic material may be made from a slurry of mineral or glass wool coated with statch binder or matted vegetable fibres. The element is of Cu foil cut to form a serpentine pattern and bonded to the backing with a rubber resin adhesive. Alternatively the element may be a film deposited on to an insulating layer or directly on to the backing. The element is coated with a clear film 5 of polyethylene tetraphthalate before any holes are punched. The tile may be painted or covered with decorative plastics material or fabric. |
