Zusammenfassung: | The flowability of polyamides is improved by kneading them with an acetylenic alcohol having a boiling point above 100 DEG C. at atmospheric pressure, e.g. with 0.05 to 2.5 wt. per cent thereof at 180 DEG to 350 DEG C. Specified polyamides are various polylactams or polycondensates of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids and polymethylene diamines or 2,4-di-(aminomethyl)-toluene of K-value 65 to 1000. They may also contain dyes, fillers, stabilizers, lubricants, mould-release agents or crystallization accelerators. Various alcohols are specified. In Examples (1) and (2), Nylon 6 is kneaded with (1) 0.3% 1-ethynyl-cyclohexanol-1, 0.3% calcium stearate and 0.1% Nylon 2,2 or (2) 0.5% 2,6-dimethyl-2-methoxy-6-hydroxy-octin (7), 0.5% calcium stearate, 0.1% nylon 2,2 and 0.2% t-butyl-p-cresol; (3) Nylon 6,6 is kneaded with 0.5% 1-ethynylcyclohexanol-1, 0.1% Nylon 2,2 and 0.3% cadmium sulphide; and (4) Nylon 6,10 is kneaded with 20.4% 2,6,10,14-tetramethyl-hexadecyn-(15)-ol-(14), 0.5% calcium stearate, 0.1% Nylon 2,2 and 0.08% halogenated copper phthalocyanine. |
