Zusammenfassung: | 1,107,132. Pipes. SOUTH AFRICAN INVENTIONS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. 29 April, 1965, No. 18092/65. Heading F2P. A pipe or conduit comprises two concentric tubular elements 1, 2 at least One of which is made of a deformable synthetic plastics material the elements being separated by spacers 23 to form one or more spaces. A filling material and reinforcing members are disposed in the space or spaces. If one of the tubular elements is rigid, materials which may be used comprise metal, asbestos cement, reinforced polyester resin, unplasticized P.V.C. and polyethylene. Deformable materials comprise pliable synthetic plastics, vulcanised rubber and suitable compounded synthetic rubber mixed with selected resins or plastics materials. The spacers may be apertured as at 24 to allow the flow of the filling material, e.g., cement grout. In the construction shown the same tubular element 1 is deformable and is expanded by a fluid through an inlet 30 before the filling material is introduced through an inlet 26. Several different types of spacers are described some of these being connected by longitudinal and circumferential reinforcements. The outer tubular element may be fabricated from four segments, the edges of which are provided with inwardly directed flanges to provide the spaces (Figs. 5, 6, not shown). |
