Zusammenfassung: | 1,104,375. Counting-apparatus. MARDON SON & HALL Ltd. 12 May, 1966 [12 Feb., 1965], No. 6167/65. Heading G4D. [Also in Division B6] Batches of card blanks in a stack 15 are separated by markers 17. A counter 1 is set to the batch number and counts down as each blank interrupts a light beam on its way to the stack 15. When the counter reaches zero it restores, and simultaneously starts a motor 3 to drive a drum 4 in counter-clockwise direction whereby a spring 12 shoots to the left to deposit a marker 17 on the stack 15. When a number of blanks have been piled on top of the marker the spring 12 depresses a switch 19 to cause reverse rotation of the motor and drum 4. The spring 12 retracts until it engages the lowermost marker 17 in a magazine 16 when cam 9 closes switch 10 to reverse the motor again so that the spring arrives at the position shown in the drawing at which point stud 11 momentarily closes a switch 23 to stop the motor. |
