Zusammenfassung: | 1,101,276. Forging manipulators. ADAMSON-ALLIANCE CO. Ltd. 7 Nov., 1966 [ Nov., 1965], No. 47407/65. Heading B3H. A forging manipulator has a peel 2 mounted on a carriage 1 with driving wheels 5, hydraulic support means 9 for the peel, hydraulic driving means 6 controlling the accelerating and braking characteristics of the wheels, and valve means in hydraulic communication with the hydraulic support means and the wheel driving means for varying automatically the accelerating and braking characteristics in accordance with the load on the peel. The forward end of the latter is connected through a wire rope or preferably through resilient linkage 11a, 11b, llc, 11d to piston 10 in hydraulic cylinder 9; the rear end is connected to an hydraulic cylinder 24. The wheels 5 are driven by hydraulic motors 6 supplied by a constant or variable delivery pump through a spring-loaded braking and relief valve (8), Fig. 3 (not shown). The loading of the spring is varied by an hydraulic cylinder (15) connected to the support cylinder 9. The manipulator may work in conjunction with an hydraulic forging press having an automatic thickness control. |
