Zusammenfassung:1,097,052. Windscreen wipers. TRICO-FOLBERTH Ltd. Dec. 7, 1964 [Dec. 11, 1963; Jan. 6, 1964], Nos. 48986/63 and 575/64. Heading A4F. A windscreen wiper harness comprises a yoke 2 on to which pressure is transmitted at a point 10 lying between the ends of the yoke, at least a part of the yoke being of flat form so as to be capable of flexing to enable a wiping element attached by means 16 to the yoke, to be flexed into different curvatures to suit the shape of the windscreen being wiped. As shown in Fig 1, the yoke 2 which may be of moulded plastics or metal comprises channel-sections 12 integrally connected to a pivot portion 6 by flat spring portions 14, claws 16 being provided on the ends for engagement with a wiper element; a second yoke member 4 having claws 18 is adapted to pivot within the portion 6. In modifications, the yoke may be in one piece and have four, five or six claws and provided with two or four spring portions. In the modification shown in Fig. 3b, the end 42 of a wiper arm is pivoted to a short yoke 44 which is pivoted to the main part of the harness by a pin 48 and transmits the wiping pressure to the claw 32 by means of a pin 50 engaging in a slot in a yoke portion 34.
