A mine roof support includes a roof- or floor-engaging member 7 carrying a prop holder 4 adjustable angularly thereto, and having rubber bodies 18 or a rubber ring or one or more metallic springs which urge the prop 3 to a predetermined angular position to the holder 4 by engaging a flange 12. The holder 4 has a concave surface 5 on a convex surface 6 on the member 7 (secured to the beam 1) for sliding thereon and is secured therto by nuts and bolts 9 for angularly adjusting the holder 4 relative thereto.
