Means for hot or cold rolling an annular ring B comprises an inner roll 2 movable radially relatively to an outer hollow roll 1, the latter bearing on its outer surface against two side rolls 3 and being of less width than the ring B to be formed, and the side rolls 3 being mounted on a shaft 5 which is parallel to the axes of the other rolls. A finished ring B is removed by parting the two side rolls. By locating the roll axes O 2 O 3 out of line with the axis O 1 of the driven shaft 5, the side fins (7) are removed in the rolling process.
