Chemical compositions

Rigid thermoplastic compositions comprise polyvinylchloride, an acrylonitrile/butadiene/ styrene copolymer and a plasticizer selected from di-isooctyl phthalate, di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate, di - n - octyl phthalate, di - isobutyl phthalate, di - tridecyl phthalate, di - isodecyl adipate, the isodecyl ester of a mixture of succinic, glutaric and adipic acids, di-n-butyl sebacate, di-isooctyl adipate, a chlorinated paraffin having a viscosity at 25 DEG C. of 23 stokes and a density at 25 DEG C. of 1.28 g./ml., tritolyl phosphate and trixylyl phosphate, the plasticizer forming less than 20% by weight of the composition. The vinyl chloride may be copolymerized with vinylidene chloride or vinyl acetate. Calcium carbonate, china clay, silica or mica may be added as filler and a substituted phenol as antioxidant.
