Improvements in windscreen wipers

A windscreen wiper harness comprises a primary yoke 10 having between its ends a connector 12 for a wiper arm and one end connected to a secondary yoke 14 by a pivot pin 18 lying between the ends of the latter, and at the same end a lever 16 is pivoted to the primary yoke 10 and is urged about its pivot axis by a spring 20 so that its free end applies wiping pressure to the wiper rubber. The spring 20 may be a compression spring, as shown, or a torsion spring. A further lever 26 may be pivotally connected to the other end and urged by a spring 28 so that its free end applies pressure to the wiper rubber. The springs 20, 28 may be of such strengths that the five pairs of claws 30, provided on the harness for the attachment of the wiper rubber, apply equal or unequal forces to the rubber.
