[Also in Division B8] A box for tea, sugar &c. comprises an outer case having side walls 11-14 on a base 10 supporting a central bearing 16 journalling a rotatable carrier plate 18 formed with radial ribs 25 between each pair of which rests a sector-shaped contamer 22, a lid 15 closing the case which has a hole 23 at the corner between its walls 11, 14 so that the carrier plate can be turned by hand and the containers withdrawn one at a time. The carrier plate 18 is also journalled by caged bearing balls 19 on the base 10. Each container 22 has a lid 27 pivoted to the open position when a recess 28 at its edge is engaged and pushed down by the finger of an operator, and is provided with finger-grips on its arcuate surface to facilitate its withdrawal through the hole 23. The bodies of the containers 23 are made from a transparent plastics material and their lids 27 from an opaque plastics. The box 10 &c. is made from an opaque plastics material. A number of the boxes 10 &c. may be stacked one on top of each other. |
