A resilient plug for sealing a hole in a car body, comprises an inner portion 1 closed at one end by a diaphragm 2 and joined to an outer portion 4 which has a radially extending flange 5, 6 at its free end, and a shoulder 8 on its outer surface. A bead 7 is formed on the edge of the flange. The shoulder 8 may be continuous or divided by axially extending recesses.
