A building comprises two end wall structures 11, 13, 14 which are interconnected by cross beams 24, 25, are mounted on the foundations by a ball and socket connector 12 and have suspension means for supporting the walls 15, 16. The walls are bolted to the foundations, see Fig. 3 (not shown) and an intermediate floor is supported by joists 32 carried by the beam 24 and saddles 33 fixed to the walls 15. Additional structural members 26, 27, 28 are provided for the roof and also serve in conjunction with beams 29 to support the ceiling. The wall panels may comprise an outer metal skin and a plaster board inner skin with an insulating layer therebetween.
