Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,076,094. Electro-erosion. EXPERIMENTALNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUTE METALLOREZHUSHCHIKH STANKOV. Jan. 21, 1965, No. 2660/65. Heading B3V. A workpiece 2 is electro-eroded by an electrode 15 consisting of a number of members 5 insulated from one another, the electrode or workpiece being traversed in a plane X-Y while the electrode is automatically fed axially in direction B, the axial feed being arranged to maintain a predetermined spark gap between the workpiece and the member which carries the heaviest current. The members 5 are connected into parallel power circuits containing resistors 11 and pulse generators 12 and 13. The output from a further circuit including a resistor 17, of greater value than the resistors 11 and connected by diodes 18 to the power circuits, controls the axial feed of the electrode, according to the member of the electrode which carries the heaviest current. In an alternative embodiment a liquid dielectric medium (51) fills the spaces between the members (5) (Fig. 1, not shown), and an electrolyte (31) is pumped between an electrode (3) and the tops of the members (5) to act as a current limiting resistor between a pulse generator (1) and the members (5). A number of separate groups of members (5) may make up the electrode.
