Zusammenfassung: | 1,068,476. Feeding sheets. DRUCKMASCHINENWERKE LEIPZIG VEB. June 10, 1964, No. 24051/64. Heading B6B. [Also in Division G1] A sheet is fed up to two front stops and one side stop to locate it in position prior to pri ting, each stop carrying variable inductance means whereby the position of the front and side edges of a sheet relative to the stops may be determined. Said means comprises primary and secondary windings 4 and a movable core 5. The latter projects from the stop 3 and is urged outwardly by a leaf spring 6 pivoted at its lower edge to said stop. The core is moved by the sheet 2 as it comes to rest, whereby an alternating current proportional to the position of the core is induced in the secondary winding, and used to determine the position of the sheet relative to the corresponding stop. In a modification, the core 5 is urged outwardly by compressed air, Fig. 5 (not shown). In operation, the outputs from the secondary windings of the stops are applied to selector stages, when the sheet comes to rest, which emit defect pulses if said outputs lie outside preset limits. |
