Zusammenfassung: | The invention comprises dyes of the formulae wherein A is an anthraquinone radical, R1, R2 and R3 are each hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or 1-4 carbons, R4, R5 and R7 are each substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, y is a divalent bridge member, n is 1, 2, 3 or 4, the B and D groups are in a -position on the anthraquinone nucleus and the radicals R4 and R5 may form with the nitrogen atom a heterocyclic ring system. The anthraquinone nucleus may carry further non-water-solubilizing substituents. The bridge y may comprise alkylene or arylene radicals or alkylene or alkylene-arylene radicals interrupted by heteroatoms, -CONH-, -CO- or -CO-O- groups. Dyes of Formula II above are made by reacting a carboxylic acid of the formula where the radical E is in a -position on the anthraquinone nucleus, or an acid halide or an ester thereof, with an amine of the formula and dyes of the Formula V above are made by quaternation of the dyes of Formula II. The dyes of Formulae V and II above and also salts of the dyes of Formula II with acids dye acrylonitrile polymers and copolymers (see Division D1).ALSO:Synthetic textile materials consisting wholly or partly of polyacrylonitrile fibres or of polyesters or polyolefins modified by the introduction of acid groups are dyed, padded or printed with dyes of the formulae:- wherein A is an anthraquinone radical having radicals B or D in alpha position, R1, R2 and R3 are each hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or 1-4 carbons, R4 and R5 are each substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, R6 is hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl radical, n is a divalent bridge member, n is 1, 2, 3 or 4 X#q is an anion and the radicals R4 and R5 together with the nitrogen atom may form a heterocyclic ring system. Mixtures of dyes of Formula I may be used. The dyes of Formula I are applied from aqueous medium of pH 2-10 at a raised temperature and the dyes of Formula II and those of Formula I wherein R6 is other than hydrogen may be applied from aqueous dispersion. |
