Liquid-fuel furnaces.-The air supply to a liquid-hydrocarbon burner, such as described in Specification 106,839, [Class 75 (1), Burners &c.], is heated in a conduit C passing several times around a flame port A in a heat-resisting block B mounted in the furnace wall. The conduit may be in the form of a helix or spiral, and, according to the Provisional Specification, it may be alternatively arranged on the furnace wall.
