Diamides
Novel esters of L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine amide having the formula and salts thereof, wherein R represents an alkyl or aralkyl radical, are prepared from compounds of the formula by hydrogenolysis when R is other than a -arylalkyl and by acid hydrolysis when R represents a -arylalkyl.
