Zusammenfassung:	1,038,897. Drinking vessels. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. Nov. 16, 1964 [March 12, 1963], No. 10574/64. Heading A4A. [Also in Divisions B5 and B8] An open-topped container, injectionmoulded from thermoplastic material, e.g. polystyrene, is formed with at least twenty longitudinal ribs 4, Fig. 1 (not shown), extending on the side wall from positions adjacent to the bottom of the container to positions adjacent the mouth, the thickness of the wall between the ribs being from 0.010 to 0.015 inch and the thickness from the inside of the wall to the peak of a rib being from 0.020 to 0.030 inch. The ribs enable the thermoplostic material to flow easily from one end to the other of the container during moulding. Interior ribs are formed near the base of the container enabling the containers to seat thereon when nested, Fig. 2 (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), two or more circumferential ribs encircle the side wall in addition to the ribs 4. The container may be a drinking cup.
