Zusammenfassung:103,757. Semark, F. W., and Allen, J. H. June 3, 1916, Bottling.-Relates to means for automatically cutting off the supply of liquid from the delivery spout and at the same time preventing the escape of gas through the vent pipe or pipes of a revolving-table bottling-machine if a bottle should burst during the filling operation. Three passages g, h, i in the larger end of the body b of the delivery cock B coincide with corresponding holes in the rotary carrier c, and the plug d and lower part of the body b are formed with two passages d , d which, when the cock is turned on, are in line with the liquid and vent passages g, hand communicate with the filling and gas tubes k, m respectively. The liquid passage g is fitted with a valve p normally held open by a spring r, and the vent passage h is provided with a ball valve n. The gas passage i opens into the passage h below the seat of the valve n. Should a bottle burst, the valves p, n automatically close under the pressure of liquid and gas.
