Zusammenfassung: | 1,034,423. Valves. WILLIAM DOXFORD & SONS (ENGINEERS) Ltd. April 4, 1963 [April 30, 1962], No. 16388/62. Heading F2V. A rotary valve comprises a valve head 4 having an annular surface engaging an annular surface 3 of the body, these surfaces being non- cylindrical and may be conical, as shown, spherical or planar surfaces. The head is formed with a bore 29 and passage 30 opening in the engaged surface to co-operate with a plurality of outlets 13. A sealing member 21 is resiliently loaded to engage the valve head 4 and has a bore 27 and recess 28 to connect a fluid inlet 25 to the bore 29. The size of the recess 28 is such that fluid pressure on a transverse face 17 of the valve head balances the fluid pressure exerted on the engaged surface. A passage 31 connects the chamber 2, housing the valve head, to groove 3 and helical groove 33 to allow release of fluid leaking to the chamber. |
