Zusammenfassung:1,024,171. Windscreen wiper connections. TRICO-FOLBERTH Ltd. July 10, 1962 [June 27, 1961], No. 23267/61. Heading A4F. A windscreen wiper unit comprises an arm 1 (Fig. 1, not shown) with notches 3 and connected by a clip 2 to a wiper blade, said clips being formed from a channel member having a web portion 8 and two side flanges 10 and 12 and comprising first stops 16 (Fig. 2, not shown) which engage with the notches 3 in the arm in order to prevent it moving towards the open end of the channel member, second stops 15 which engage the face of the arm opposite to that which lies against the web portion 8, and a resilient member 18, e.g. a rubber block, which urges the arm towards the open end of the channel member when the arm has been connected within the channel member. The connection is such that upon a deliberate movement of the arm 1 against the resilient member 18 the second stops 15 come into register with the notches 3 and the arm may then be separated from the channel member. The first and second stops are projecting portions 13 formed from L-shaped lugs as shown at 14. Alternatively the first and second stops may be formed by two hooks 26 and 28 (Fig. 4, not shown) having been deflected out of the web portion. Further, the first stops may be formed from lugs 40 (Fig. 6, not shown) out of the web, and the second stops are lugs bent over from the side flanges of the channel member.
